administration of dragging its feet in response to e-mail messages sent
to the T by a Department of Correction employee who allegedly used
derogatory and obscene language to refer to Grabauskas, who is gay. (Reminds you of a TV station in Medford that has a non-resident allegedly making threats that include gay slurs; the police do NOTHING about Jim Tuberosa despite Chief Sacco being on the Human Rights Commission with Diane "Do-nothing" McLeod)

profanity and anti-gay epithets to insult Grabauskas, whom he accused of
not responding to his complaints of poor commuter rail service,
according to copies of the messages reviewed by the Herald.

was forced to resign in August 2009 after the Patrick administration
publicly questioned his leadership. He said he thought the MBTA was
trying to avoid the embarrassment of paying him so much to leave before
his contract ended.
Grabauskas’s

account and added that agency officials did not say why they wanted the
secrecy clause.

The MBTA spent $48,000 last year on lobbyists. According to spokesman Joe Pesaturo, the two lobbyists, Jack McGlynn and William Ryan, were let go in a "cost-cutting move." They had helped the MBTA "file and track T-related legislation," Pesaturo said.

State: Revere man made, sold millions of dollars' worth of unauthorized T passes

However, MBTA General Manager Richard Davey said the T today began to
sever its contract with Cubic, and will insist the company reimburse
the T for all the lost sales - as soon as state investigators determine
exactly how much that is. Coakley said that just last month, Townes
allegedly sold 400 passes worth $235 apiece. She estimated that since
2007, Townes has made upwards of 20,000 of the "ghost" passes.
Coakley and MBTA Transit Police Chief Paul MacMillan said the scheme unraveled when the conductor on an unidentified commuter-rail line was handed a disccolored pass on March 11 The rider said he'd accidentally put it through the wash, but the conductor didn't fully buy that and turned the pass in. Coakley said that while the pass was authentic looking - having been printed on the same machine as actual passes - its ID number didn't match up with anything in the T's pass database.
