MY 'FRIEND' CAROLYN ROSEN WAS GOING TO HAVE ME ASK QUESTIONS OF THE SCHOOL COMMITTEE. MY QUESTION IS, WHY IS THERE EVEN A SCHOOL COMMITTEE DEBATE WHEN THERE IS NOT ONE SINGLE OPPONENT FACING THE INCUMBENTS. (AND a candidate noted to me that the School Committee forum is a big waste of time. Ya think they are going to be honest with the citizens in that setting? Please...don't insult the intelligence of the residents of Medford)
But what I will be speaking about next week at the City Council is the conflict of McGlynn being the Chair of Ward 2 and the funny business the 26 year incumbent engages in during the process.

Dear Press, Media and Candidates:
In
2011 a candidate allegedly won the coin toss and was DENIED the right
to be the last speaker at the Candidate's Night For Medford.
Anthony
D'Antonio allegedly WON the coin toss (they picked a number out of a
box; D'Antonio picked #2, which means he goes second to open and second -
or last - to address the crowd), and the chance to speak last was
allegedly stolen from him by both the Medford Democratic City Committee
and its "Chair" of Ward 2, Michael J. McGlynn. Talk about a CONFLICT OF
INTEREST!
McGlynn wants his "crescendo" and the opponent, D'Antonio, was
visibly
upset with his opening statement after Rosen had bullied the candidate
so that Rosen's alleged candidate, McGlynn, would benefit.
D'Antonio speaks:
"What
happened is this, and I explained this to people, so it is nothing new.
When I
got the letter (with rules about the candidates' night), it said no
political paraphernalia on the premises. McGlynn had 50 sign holders, I
adhered to the rules. We went into Room 207, I was #2 (picking the
number), McGlynn was #1. I go second to open and I close the debate.
All of a sudden Carolyn comes up to me and says "in the interest of
fairness, we're going to have you go second to close." (journalist: I
call this the interest of unfairness. Isn't McGlynn a chair of this
alleged committee??)
That TV3 showed biased and called D'Antonio a "scoundrel" on a blog (a violation of 501c3 rules as a staffer wrote it) and denied air time to the D'Antonio DVD, is just more evidence that McGlynn is unethical and uses a number of underhanded, slimy tactics to bully his way back into office without the support of the 56,000 residents of this city.
D'Antonio told Rosen that
McGlynn has his people lined up around the room to cheer for McGlynn. "They changed the format for him."
D'Antonio calls the cheering section the McGlynn "Crescendo"
It
was allegedly a fraud perpetrated by the Medford Undemocratic City and
Ward Committees which I am going to discuss at the City Council on
October 9.
Last night, 10/1/13 at 9:42 PM, I received this information from
Ms. Rosen:
We
took the Medford Transcript, a member of the Chamber and a union
representative for the city council forum, all 3 of which represents a
cross section of the city as a different group and we chose a parent
involved in the PTO for the School Committee forum.
A
UNION PERSON DOES NOT REPRESENT THE 56,000 CITIZENS OF MEDFORD After
reading the Medford Transcript, is there any doubt the weekly paper is
in McGlynn's back pocket?

In other words, it is in the bag for Michael J. McGlynn again.
As
the courts have ruled a public access TV host is a LEGITIMATE
JOURNALIST, Carolyn Rosen, a guest multiple times ON my program, VISUAL
RADIO, is bullying the public and bullying me by not allowing YOU, dear
citizen, to have a legitimate journalist on the panel.

We
are going to FIGHT for this RIGHT not to have McGlynn stomp all over
the media (his photo is on Inside Medford today for his buddy Pompeo
& Sons along with a campaign commercial including McGlynn and his
family)
On
Sunday Kathy McCabe put a blurb about McGlynn in Globe Northwest; there
were at least two photos in the Medford Mercury of McGlynn on
consecutive days, possibly three, and the Medford Transcript appears to
be a wholly owned subsidiary of McGlynn, Inc.
See
the Globe story (below) where McGlynn uses the tragedy that was the
Marathon bombing - repeatedly - to get ink in newspaper after
newspaper. It is hideous that McGlynn chooses to use this for an
election topic. Just ask McGlynn jumping on the swastikas painted in
Medford when it was his opponent who uncovered the vandalism; McGlynn
took the credit for it when it HAPPENED ON MCGLYNN'S WATCH because of
dwindling efforts by City Hall to give the citizens the public safety that they need.
Nick
Iovino of the Medford Transcript, a cub reporter with huge ties to
McGlynn, is not objective, he's not fair, he is beholden to Nell Escobar
Coakley who is beholden to McGlynn. This reporter has a public
records request that serves the public interest, showing EXACTLY how
much money the Transcript gets from City Hall. As the parent company of
the Transcript is in deep trouble (about 1.3 billion in debt last I
read) the company - clearly - has to abide by the wishes of its sources
of income. This is not objective reporting and Nell Coakley has
personally displayed her bias to me in her office.
I wrote for - and got paid
from - that company.
This
reporter uncovered information on Eugene McGillicuddy who was appointed
by Governor Deval Patrick to be on the Medford Housing Authority Board
of Directors. He was removed AFTER my video camera uncovered his
relationship to McGlynn and only after I reported it to the Governor.
State Rep Paul Donato was in his usual "flabbergasted" state (Donato
just LOVES that word), and that was before we uncovered pertinent
information on Robert A. Maiocco, which - allegedly - is the reason
Maiocco is no longer
running after
30 years of selfishness by and from Maiocco.
Now for conflicted Carolyn Rosen to get what she wants on the Greenline she must keep a real reporter from being on the panel asking the pertinent questions of city government.
This is because Ms. Rosen, who is not an attorney and who recently lost her suit in court regarding the Greenline, tells me to my face that she is a friend and behind the scenes she caves in to the pressure from those she allegedly feels are going to do her the most political good for her pet projects. Wonder what the political price is to NOT have a legitimate journalist on the panel? Is there "horse trading" going on if legitimate questions are shielded to protect a coward like
Michael J. McGlynn?
The
shame of it is that Ms. Carolyn Rosen was victimized and bullied by
TV3, yet no one in this community will stand up for the consumer because
Michael McGlynn BENEFITS from the nonsense. McGlynn BENEFITS with no
public access, with a media blackout, and with a Medford Democratic City
Committee that he is part of wagging the other candidates to do the
26-year incumbents' bidding.
I will be doing a TV special on this
reprehensible situation created by Michael J. McGlynn's involvement in the Medford Democratic City and Committees http://medforddems.org/
In
other words, Rosen has a committee chair for Ward 2, Michael J.
McGlynn, deciding who the people are who will question the candidates
for Mayor. It is a huge conflict of interest that Rosen and her
Undemocratic Committee are participating in.
The mayoral and School Committee forum will be held on Oct. 16, beginning at 7 p.m. in Alden Chambers at City Hall.
Candidates will be asked questions by guest panelists, who will include a representative from the Medford Transcript and Robin Baker, a Medford parent of a recent MHS graduate and manager of Community Performances & Partnerships at the Celebrity Series of Boston.

Subject: Medford Democratic Candidates Night Forums
Dear Joe:
This
email is to address your request to participate in the Medford
Democratic Candidates’ Night forums. As the appointed Chairperson, I
would like to give you a little information about the history of the
forum. The Candidates Night committee has not yet issued its invitation
to journalistic institutions or candidates at this time until final
dates and details around the election have been confirmed.
That
action is usually at the end of August or early September. We first put
out a save the date letter to candidates to see if the candidates wish
to show up. We then issue invitations to the press.
The
committee’s goal is to put on a forum with an impartial panel made up
of journalistic institutions of which we understand you are a part. You
are welcome to participate as long as the editor of the Medford Patch
agrees.
We
can only use you in the School Committee forum since you have all ready
publicly admitted to close friends in the city council race. You must
make sure that the editor understands that we can only use you on the
School Committee forum, and possibly the Mayoral forum.
You are always welcome to film the forums if you would like to participate in that fashion instead. (Carolyn wants free volunteer film work from me. No thank you. JV)
Sincerely yours,
Carolyn Rosen
Chairperson
Medford Democratic Candidates Committee
