Our hearts are in access tv; but the specter of the dishonest Mayor hovers over 100 Main Street

The police failed the community!

1)Police report of 4/27/10

2)Frank Pilleri removed by the police from

Medford City Hall

3)Frank Pilleri's attorney (paid for with YOUR monies) removed from City Hall 10/29/08

4)Investigation into Racism

5)Allegations of homophobia by TV3

6)Allegations into lack of meeting minutes and alleged financial improprieties

7)Lies by Doria and Harvey Alberg as well as Ronald DeLucia to the City Council of Medford

Those 7 situations should have been enough. The authorities can't say they didn't know about the freak show that was Pilleri's TV3.

Had the police arrested the individual now up on charges of a "false bomb threat" after that alleged criminal sent an autistic man to sexually harass women (the infamous "G" spot episode that a judge will be reading about shortly) or the police report filed by Council President Robert A. Maiocco on 4/27/10 with that vicious person listed as a "person of interest" along with two other frightening individuals, the good people at Station Landing would not have had to endure alleged retaliation from a vindictive, perpetual harasser who broke the law with impunity

The fact that the police found an individual at the apartment when they picked up the person who engaged in the false bomb threat, a person who was also listed in the April 27, 2010 attack, is something the judge has to look at long and hard when he or she reads the AMICUS CURIAE brief.

You see, TV3 Medford - finally shut down after over one hundred complaints from members of the community and elected officials - was a disaster under the evil watch of Frank Pilleri.

Monies taken from cable TV subscribers are for access television. Period. Robbing Peter to pay Paul won't fly, especially with anonymous posters too afraid to stand up for their alleged convictions by saying this to the city council. If you want to use the monies for something else, explain it to those of us footing the bill. The agenda of those throwing pot shots from their cloaking devices so very obvious. It is those who engaged in wrongful conduct with the monies now coming up with an excuse almost as ridiculous as what they did with our cash.

MAY 19, 2009 LETTER TO THE EDITOR
    To the editor:
In response to TV3's April 22, 2009 update on TV3 —there is still the presence of the embattled “Board of Directors” of Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. that concerns many residents and Comcast subscribers.
With decades of broken promises it is pretty hard to convince the people funding the channel that things will be different. Will positive changes continue if the current board survives the scrutiny of a retired judge, the mayor, the city solicitor, the City Council and the auditors at Melanson Heath & Co, PC?
Every aspect of TV3 with the old board in place will be viewed as “the fruit of the poisonous tree,” a product that is the decision of a board that has made terrible decisions on behalf of the access TV station. The only remedy is for an entirely new group of people to administer access TV in this city while removing the old board — and keeping individuals who served on that old board of directors away from the station for a good three to five years.

In light of the unanimous decision by the City Council of Medford on April 30 to demand the audit and Judge [Marie] Jackson’s evaluation and with the release of that audit by the city solicitor on May 7, it is not just one or two voices demanding change.

Every major politician, it seems, is as outraged as the community and the audit further provokes anger from Comcast subscribers paying a fee that we see being abused throughout the public record generated by the respected accountants of Melanson Heath & Company, PC.

It isn’t just the $818,000 that Mark Rumley began looking into, millions of dollars in subscriber paid fees have flowed to this station over the past two and a half decades with little or no accountability to those of us who are footing the bill.

If an elected official doesn’t do the job we hire them to do, the voters have a chance to replace that individual. Why have Comcast subscribers had less of a say in who handles our access channel and who gets to determine — or dictate — how these millions of dollars have been and will be spent?

Melanson Heath & Co. wrote: “We have concluded that we are unable to express an opinion because limitations have been placed on the scope of our audit as outlined in our report and the following paragraph.

     THE AUDITORS SPEAK
“Your accounting records were incomplete during the period under audit and we were not able to apply alternative procedures to determine the completeness of the statements and related disclosures. TV3’s management has not provided us evidence to support the $55,000 receivable on your financial statements. Additionally, TV3’s management has declined to provide us with sufficient representation on your financial statements...”

    MALFEASANCE BY TV3

The letter goes on to say that the management, which includes two individuals who claim to be “money managers” and offer advice to Medford viewers, cited “numerous references to accounting standards and accounting practices which we are not familiar with and which we do not understand.”

Frankly, the Comcast subscribers who fund the enterprise don’t quite understand how individuals we never hired — who admit they don’t know how to count — are able to play with millions of dollars and not be held accountable to the people who fund the station.

It’s our money; we’d like to know how every dime is spent. Anything less should result in the police, the attorney general and the district attorney putting a focus on each and every member of the Board of Directors of TV3.
