McGlynn must RECUSE himself from his position of "Issuing Authority" and hand it over to the City Council.

Ron Delucia is in breach of contract. Why didn't the council bring up that important fact? Next time Delucia comes to the podium he better have two answers:
---who was on the board of directors in the past 12 months
---what does he have to say for himself about the fact that he violated the agreement Frank Pilleri signed with McGlynn, and violated it with impunity.
That's it. Very simple. No nonsense about "legal papers in the window" (taken out of context) and "toxic mold."
Delucia was required, by contract, to facilitate programming. Ron Delucia is not skilled in that regard, and his horrible track record as a business man showed that he lacked the qualifications. Indeed, see if Delucia can sit on a board of directors of a local bank or another prestigious firm - especially given the public record of his long history of wrongful conduct, as captured by city council cameras.

Ron Delucia, Harvey Alberg and Frank Pilleri, along with Art Deluca, violated the agreement signed with Medford City Hall to provide access tv. That's all that needs to be said to those jokers when they start with the excuses again. They had a contract, they violated it.
No access TV existed for election 2013. The blame belongs to Frank Pilleri, Ron DeLucia, Harvey Alberg and Art Deluca. How will they pay the community back?

The people's forum, funded on Comcast Channel 22 by cable TV subscribers, has become the key to building a new access station. If anyone believes the McGlynn Administration's secretive 3-person panel is going to function in an appropriate manner, we have some toxic mold scraped off of the rocks at River's Edge to sell ya.
Since May 21, 2013 the access television issue has moved front and center thanks to the diligence of some community members and some key members of the Medford City Council. One of the councilors, thickly aligned with the now-dissolved TV station, attempted to invoke Rule 17 or something to stifle free speech. You saw how that worked out for Councilor Camuso. Suspension of the rules and lots of complaints filed with the City Clerk from this writer got the issue to stay exactly where it needs to stay: on the government channel until a solution is found.

Medford voters have been cheated out of the access TV platform. Those who were contractually obligated - and paid - to facilitate access have come up with a wide range of excuses, but the bottom line is that an agreement was signed with the Mayor in 2005 and that agreement was not upheld. I will expand on that topic on my personal blog outside of Patch - not for any other reason than it will be quite long-winded, but vitally important.

You hear many complaints about how few votes were cast in the last election, just a week ago, and how disappointed people are in the McGlynn Administration. Locking a community out of access TV - especially during an election cycle - is unforgivable. Mike McGlynn knows in no uncertain terms that he is being called out on his wrongful conduct. Just tune in to the government channel on a Tuesday night to hear the focus of where we are taking this battle in its next phase.
May 21, 2013 was a big victory for the citizens. May 28, 2013 was a big victory for the citizens. The arrest of one of the individuals involved as a central figure of the dissolved station and the removal of the president from the council chambers, or even the former vice president facing the gavel on November 12, 2013 - last night - for interrupting and not abiding by the rules, is a tapestry of information for the voters and the cable TV subscribers about the breach of the cable TV contract, the non-performance of the corporation and color bars for your hard earned dollars.
City Councilor Michael Marks has used the wedge of "the entire P/E/G" to get on Mike McGlynn's nerves. The mostly invisible monopolizing of 80 % of the P/E/G monies - for high school salaries and the "general fund" - has moved to the top of the list in this next chapter in Medford's truly regrettable abuse of the cable TV subscriber fees. Had Mike McGlynn, the Issuing Authority, just let the public do their shows, we wouldn't know a damn thing about "general fund," "high school salaries," "charter change" etc. etc. etc. McGlynn's fear of citizens understanding how much money was and still is at stake, and his fear of an honest and transparent board of directors to supervise all of P/E/G has turned into a huge dark cloud hovering over city hall. That cloud is going to continue to blossom until McGlynn and his City Solicitor start behaving themselves and stop hiding behind the debacle that dissolved on September 30th. Basically, Mike McGlynn failed at access television. The lack of leadership is a huge ink stain on McGlynn's nicely pressed white shirt and starting to drip drip drip onto his hands and his nice suit coat.
The biggest problem for access TV in Medford has always been the incompetence of the Mayor, Michael J. McGlynn. In 26 years he hasn't got access right, not one bit. So now McGlynn wants another bite of the apple?
We are now working on a strategy to have the City Council or another body handle P/E/G access TV. That is correct. With the arrest of the webmaster of the station and then the conflicting information the board members gave to the city council, all supervised by McGlynn, it is obvious that a 3 person panel chosen by the failed "leader" - the Issuing Authority who has not a clue about the First Amendment or the facilitation of programming, is not going to cut the mustard. 3 person panel,. 99 person panel. New Cable TV Commission, spare us. We pay for a product and instead of getting direct answers to direct questions the City Solicitor wasted taxpayer monies on Wednesday shooting spitballs to cause a distraction. The last entity that pulled that kind of stunt dissolved on September 30th. Now the City Solicitor is engaging in the same type of insulting antics for exactly the same reason: he's not a forthright man and he doesn't want to give the public information that the public paid for, that the public deserves.
The McGlynn Administration has no sense of what "public service" is about. Nor do they care to know the definition of that term. McGlynn thinks he IS Medford. It is up to the citizens to inform Michael J. McGlynn that he is in error, and that we have some very legal solutions to set him straight.
