Response to Harvey Alberg and Arthur Deluca

JOHNNY SAYS THEY ARE PUTTING THE MISINFORMATION OUT THERE BECAUSE THEY KNOW HOW CLOSE CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS ARE TO GETTING THE STATION.

"You may not go after the Mayor, but they know you are going to reveal their secrets to the public!"

Impressive the amount of spin.  Let's be clear about it, every citizen and cable TV subscriber has an interest in this "process" because we are still paying cable bills monthly - paying for a service a tiny board of directors could not provide.  Are you saying you provided access TV? over the past year???  Second point: I am a citizen, not the "city" - and a problem with Medford is the intimidation tactics when people want to speak up at City Hall.  A pro-TV3 councilor invokes "Rule 17" (Wow, that really went over well!)  The ensuing craziness after that was put in place was so off the charts that our esteemed City Solicitor told John Byers and yours truly, in his office (while offering us candy, which was actually quite good) that he found something "troubling" if true.  Well, presto change-o, that troubling event was erased as quickly as Rule 17!  Go figure. Keep your "peanut butter sandwich," Arthur, the community - like Judge Jackson-Thompson, is more interested in why proper minutes to meetings were not kept.  There's a new committee in Medford that has nothing to do with access TV - it has more to do with other topics at the city council.  There are all sorts of issues in Medford which will be promoted when the time is right.  Access TV, however, is nice for a central meeting ground and to get the message out.  Mr. DeLuca's position in the Transcript that we don't need access and cable subscribers should be forced to pay a second tax is in conflict with his new mantra that he wants to operate a new station after the contract signed in 2005 was not fulfilled.  It is really a stretch to think anyone in this city would offer a new agreement to people who a)couldn't retain membership; b)couldn't keep organized meeting minutes, c)bounced from 40 Canal St to 39 Everett St to 85 Geo P Hassett Dr to 5 High Street to 32 Riverside Ave and then denied entry to cablecast from 85 Geo P. Hassett Dr again.  All in a span of 10 years.  If Arlington, Cambridge, Winthop, Burlington, Stoneham, Malden and so many other stations can stay in one place, why was it so hard for TV3 when the hand-picked board of directors went through station managers quicker than they went through storefronts!   Steve K, Big Steve, Jason, Mr. Deluca in the meantime as interim, correct? Dawn etc.  So how is this productive for Medford? Just politely asking questions about the organization that told the community what a great job it was doing, awarded itself "prizes" while being labeled "private MCC access" by a retired judge, and an amazing legacy of board members fleeing, a list of two dozen individuals posted elsewhere.  Why no specific, professional and adult answers to these questions? Why so many board members leaving? Why so many members leaving? Why so many different locations, and why color bars during an election if this "board of directors" really had the best interest(s) of the community at heart.  No answer necessary, rhetorical questions which answer themselves with the facts in evidence.
