On Monday, CNN host Ashleigh Banfield read Doe’s victim statement on her show. A recall effort for Judge Aaron Persky has been launched in Santa Clara County, an effort that’s being organized by some influential women in the area along with Michele Dauber, a Stanford law professor and family friend of the victim. There are more than 50,000 signatures on a Change.org petition to have Persky recalled, too. (Persky’s office said the judge had no comment on the sentence or potential recall efforts against him.)
