Donald Trump admitted defeat and shut down the vote on the oxymoron "American Care Act" today. During the process, Trump exhibited a clear aversion to understanding anything about health care. The Republicans - so very good at mislabeling things to fool the public paying the freight - are fully exposed.
Watching Stephanie Muccini-Burke this past Wednesday night at her community outreach program squirming in her seat, walking around fidgety and wondering why a community of 57,000 or more didn't care to attend her frog and pony show, SHOULD BE OF GREAT CONCERN TO EVERY PERSON FORCED TO PAY ANY KIND OF TAX IN MEDFORD, BE IT A FOOD TAX, PARKING TAX, EXCISE TAX OR PROPERTY TAX. THEY ARE NOT BEING UPFRONT AND TRANSPARENT ABOUT WHERE YOUR MONEY IS GOING, AND THEY TRY TO BE SLIPPERY IN RESPONDING TO PUBLIC RECORDS REQUESTS.

It was a disaster for an alleged "mayor" who has been in office 15 months.
Residents had no access television to inform them of this event. Residents had no vibrant "Everyblock" from Comcast that McGlynn promised would usher in a new era of blah blah blah, just like McGlynn did with Comcast's Project Open Voice. More like Comcast's Project Shut Your Mouth.

It's remarkable how McGlynn would use these stunts, so many theatrics, to keep the public believing his amusements - like the trio he picked to choose a place to put the Access TV station.
LOOK - I've been involved in access TV longer than ANYONE in the community, ok. McGlynn fooling us by going to Regina Pizza and Bocelli's with thugs and not having meeting minutes, and the Judge Jackson-Thompson Report (allegedly whitewashed by Rumley himself, according to my interpretation of Rumley's admission that he and the judge faxed back and forth,) and the Rumley Report blah blah blah.
The old axiom, Screw me once, shame on you, Screw Me Twice, shame on me then kicks in.
People were literally angry with me for saying "This tribunal is a joke! The MWRA, a damn priest, and a conflicted woman being paid P/E/G money to be a teacher so that she shuts up and goes along with McGlynn...or she gets booted out of her job... HELLO! YOU CAN'T BELIEVE THE ANGER I FACED from people when I said "this trio is a joke."
Well, once again Joe Vig was, as Nell Coakley said once before, SPOT ON.
But I truly get what's wrong with this community. Old Ed Finn slugs me to try to make me "toxic" and then spreads rumors that Bob Penta will "lose" the election. No, the truth that I believe is, Ed Finn allegedly STOLE the election.
He had motive, means and opportunity, and committed a felony crime on a senior citizen and got away with it.
As stated, it is remarkable the wool that McGlynn pulled over the eyes of people in this municipality, and how dumb Stephanie Burke has proved to be. Which is how McGlynn wants it, you know?
You think McGlynn wants someone as politically savvy as himself who could knock him under the bus? No way...I saw this the moment McGlynn had Paul Camuso besmirching the mayor at the city council (that reprobate actually THOUGHT he was the heir apparent! IN WHAT REALITY?) but now that they've padded Camuso's extremely fat ass with goodies and delights, he's silent, obeying, like the politically castrated jackass that he is.
Stephanie is the placeholder, the puppet, until Kathleen McGlynn Brady makes her debut on the world stage.
McGlynn's six-decade-dynasty, built by daddy who set the table, allowing for a flood of alleged malfeasance and alleged corruption to ruin a once promising city, is bad for Medford.
The McGlynn Dynasty is - in political terms - a Chernobyl meltdown of unprecedented proportions. It will take more than a bucket of water to remove that wicked witch/son of a bitch McGlynn. McGlynn is the shadow, the haunting specter behind the ugly Muccini-Burke Administration. He's a well polished thug. A very connected, very cunning, very slimy, very educated snake. They do not go down easy BUT, the bigger they are, the harder they fall.
SO, CLASS, let me say it again FOR YOUR PROTECTION:
McGlynn is a powerfully connected s.o.b. and is a VERY slick politician. Do NOT underestimate him. He is smooth, born into it, and as malicious as he is masterful. And he, McGlynn, is quite masterful, I can assure you.
But there are cracks in the McGlynn armor. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE his cunning and guile, that would be like turning your back on George Foreman when the invisible left hook lands and knocks you out. An old fighter may be tired, but they are also seasoned and ultra crafty. Stephanie is guided and directed by McGlynn, but when you see her flaws exposed, know this: it is because McGlynn NEEDS a flawed candidate that he can throw under the bus as soon as McGlynn has squeezed every damn drop out of the ketchup bottle that is whichever sycophant he calls upon to be his slave.
Rick Caraviello sure found that out. He loses a criminal court case, and immediately Cugno is the "next man up," so to speak.
Rick Caraviello is now a liability to McGlynn's plans. Oh they can delude the "Council President," they can assure him that he's still part of the club, but even someone as oblivious as Richard F. Caraviello can hear the footsteps of McGlynn's gang creeping up behind him...and impolitely telling him that it is time to go.
Cugno - and possibly Camuso - are being positioned for the city council, 2018/2019. What the intent of this message is? To alert the citizens that we MUST come out in droves and vote these immature, selfish, reprehensible self-servants OUT and bring in a breath of fresh air: real public servants.

The elephant in the room is how absolutely unprepared Muccini Burke was prior to this abysmal meeting (referenced above) and the abuse of department heads for her flighty whims and fantasies. So much like how both Donald "the art of the Deal" Trump and Paul Ryan were - that they couldn't count the votes in advance (or even count on their own party) and how unprepared, like Stephanie, they were for their big moment.
As I've been saying for years, the GOP is a fractured political entity. The GOP is as divided as the country, so you have a polarized country and a division within the main group that did the polarizing. The reasons for posting the BBC article are many - how other countries view Trump, how the embarrassment diminishes what little political capital he had left, how the stock markets are shuddering with Trump's dishonesty, the very serious FBI investigation into his campaign, and that one political party, the Republicans, would rather help big business and hurt Americans with such a fraudulently named plan like The American Health Care Act. More like the un-American Help Big Business At the Expense of the People Act.
Stephanie Muccini-Burke is an equal embarrassment. She is SO MUCH like her Republican counterpart that it is chilling:
