Flashback Monday - Cop Gets Prostitute...doesn't arrest her...it is he who GETS arrested in a sting..

Medford officer caught in prostitution sting suspended without pay

Posted by Matt Byrne  March 4, 2011 10:03 AM
The mayor of Medford has suspended Police Officer Gregory M. Hudson for nine months without pay, the city solicitor said yesterday, six months after the officer was arrested Aug. 20 during a sting operation in Lynn for soliciting a prostitute.

The trouble is not Hudson's first. In 1999 he was charged with assault and battery after his wife called 911 to report that her husband choked her. She suffered bruises to the neck but refused medical treatment, an official had said at the time. The two later divorced in 2005, records show.

According to payroll records supplied to the Globe, Hudson earned $94,257 in Fiscal 2010.

Whatever happened to Miguel Lopez?

The Medford Police pressed false charges on this editor while one of their own was in the press regarding a MURDER at his home!

FOX 25
Investigators allege Lopez's 28-year-old stepson had arranged to sell drugs to the men through "known associates" at the Micah's Pond Way home. They claim the men drew handguns, demanding cash and money after entering the 28-year-old's home. Both the 28-year-old and his friend, Joseph Puopolo, were shot. Puopolo, 27, died as a result of his injuries. The 28-year-old man survived a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

Miguel Lopez, 53, was indicted Thursday by a Middlesex County grand jury on two counts of witness intimidation in connection with the investigation into the shooting death of 27-year-old Army veteran Joseph Puopolo on July 3, District Attorney Marian T. Ryan said in a statement.
Lopez is accused of removing evidence from the home where the shooting occurred, Ryan’s office said. Prosecutors say Lopez lied to State Police in interviews shortly after the shooting, although prosecutors did not disclose the nature of those statements.

That victim, who lived with Lopez, allegedly arranged to sell drugs to Jessie Williams, 24, of Medford and Eugene Tate, 19, of Malden at the Stoneham home. But when Williams and Tate entered the home, they drew handguns on Puopolo and the other man, demanded drugs and money, then shot them, prosecutors said.

Puopolo was not involved in the drug deal, according to prosecutors.

A spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office refused to specify the relationship between Lopez and the unidentified shooting victim.

Joseph Puopolo Jr., 27, of Stoneham, was discovered fatally shot when police responded shortly after 1 a.m. to a two-story home on Micah’s Pond Way, a quiet cul-de-sac of newer large residences. Authorities did not name the man who survived the shooting.
