We heard that Ed Finn was told to get the "F" out or go "F" himself over the All Lives Matter sign.

Finn the gopher.   They sure pull his puppet strings, don't they?

Finn forwarded the letter to City Solicitor Mark Rumley, who contacted the Secretary of State’s Elections Division. On Oct. 25, Rumley spoke with Michelle Tassinari, director and legal counsel for the division. Tassinari agreed with Rumley’s opinion that the banner should not be considered campaign material.

“The reason it’s not considered campaign material is it doesn’t encourage or discourage a voter to vote for or against a particular candidate or cause,” Rumley told the Transcript.

The city, therefore, does not have authority to order that the sign be removed, Rumley said. Additionally, the city would not have been able to change polling locations, which must be finalized several months before the election.

After sorting out the legal questions, Rumley met with Finn and Osborne, who asked if the city could arrange a meeting with Medford VFW Post Commander Steve Hanson.
“Mr. Hanson said he didn’t see the need for a personal meeting,” Rumley said.
