THE ACCESS OF EVIL
MEDFORD'S BROKEN ACCESS TELEVISION
WATCH COUNCIL MEETING 9-19-17
HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjGBHu28DvM
Dear Mr. Rumley:
So
if someone wants to send a program over to the school, and the school
has five of my shows at this moment, and Ben Brown wants a CORI check
just to MAIL THE SHOW TO THE STATION, but Belson contradicts him that it
is for another reason (see below) - someone physically on the property,
these people don't have their censorship lies straight.
There
is no sane reason not to air my programming sitting on a shelf at the
access station other than you are DISCRIMINATING against me.
Mr.
Belson appears to be contradicting the need for a CORI as HE IS TALKING
about people AT THE SCHOOL when some of us producers work at other TV
stations. So why are we being DENIED access TV when Ben Brown played
Steve Katsos show from Arlington but keeps making up new rules - "he
doesn't know Verizon...," "he's sick on Friday...," not facilitating
programming, not doing OUTREACH, which is the job he was hired to do,
not to bully, intimidate and extort an agreement out of people only
wanting to do access television.
After all your high-falootin promises, Mark Rumley, your failure to stand up for the rights of citizens is branded on your forehead. Shame on you.
Roy Belson sayeth at the City Council meeting:
430.31
"...anyone who might be up here frequently ..is moving around that area
outside of the studio...might find there way into the front door at a
given time...we check it out a little bit."
Of
course Neil Osborne would say that the situation is "frustrating."
Ben Brown's inability to articulate access television was the most
transparent thing on the table: Mr. Brown knows that he is obligated to
the residents and cable TV subscribers and that he's screwing them by
drinking the Stephanie Burke/Mark Rumley alleged KOOL AID.
Michael Marks: "If this is a new standard that we're implementing...
...It doesn't seem like much thought was going " (into it...)
The
development of the nutty CORI check and incredibly boorish Producer
Agreement is just another black eye on the Censorship City that is
Medford under Rumley and Muccini-Burke.
_____________________________________________________________________
I have spent fifteen years of my life working for the people, unlike Dello Russo and Adam Knight.
It was refreshing to put them in their place IN PERSON.
Ben Brown is sneaky and sends e mails once in awhile; I am the type of guy who will look a Ben Brown in the eye and tell him that he's:
---failed to do outreach
---failed in his mandate to facilitate programming
He was spineless and weak at the podium. We need a strong leader when it comes to First Amendment and free speech issues.
I told Ben Brown to RESIGN to his face tonight, if he can't do his job.
Mr.
Brown, jealous of the thousand hours or so of programming that I have,
my ability to articulate access through my years of experience, can only
censor me.
He is a bully, abusing his position just like the two individuals who stifled access TV when the old TV3 was in control.
The city is messing with the First Amendment, and the candidates are the ones who suffer.
Mark Rumley's true nature is exposed, and it is uglier than Dorian Grey's, isn't it?
Play
the show, Mark. I contend that you plagiarized my original report to
Mike McGlynn in some parts of your Rumley Report (segment on fake names
not on the board used by MCC TV3; you ran with it after I tipped you
off. You promised there would be an entire Joe Vig section in the
Rumley Report and instead you used my hard work and honest efforts and
took my ideas but failed to credit the guy who opened the door that led
to the removal of MCC from its agreement with the city.
Play
my show, Mark. It's the honest thing to do. DO you have one
scintilla of honesty in you, Mark Rumley, or do you enjoy your status as
a giant in the city stomping on people's dreams, people like Johnny
Byers.
Play our shows, Mark and stop the censorship designed to help your boss, Muccini-Burke, waltz in without any scrutiny.
What's a matter, Mark? A varsity coach got your tongue? Oh, it's called free speech. Grow up.
Sincerely.
