Richard Caraviello received $5,500 in total from members of the Chafetz family, who are connected to many philanthropic causes and to the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, which operates several casinos and resorts in the United States and Asia. Caraviello also received $500 from Leonard H. Adelson of Needham, the brother of Sheldon Adelson, a casino magnate and major political donor who founded the Las Vegas Sands.
