Somerville resident kills Yarmouth Cop, but Medford City Council president Richard F. Caraviello wastes the time and resources of Middlesex Law Enforcement for a vendetta, and Caraviello loses in criminal court; egg on his face, and corruption dripping from his fingers.

A handsome law enforcement officer is dead; and Rick Caraviello used law enforcement for his creepy political ends. Why isn't Caraviello under investigation by the office of District Attorney Marian Ryan?

BARNSTABLE, Mass. – The man charged with killing a Yarmouth Police officer has an extremely long criminal history and he will be back in court Friday to face a murder charge,CBS Boston reports. Tom Latanowich, 29, of Somerville, shot officer Sean Gannon as officers were serving an arrest warrant at a home on Blueberry Lane in Marstons Mills Thursday afternoon, police said.

Gannon died. His K9 partner, Nero, was seriously wounded and will have surgery Friday.

Latanowich was arrested after a long standoff with police at the home. He will be arraigned in Barnstable District Court Friday.
