Tomasone Honored at 15th Annual Community Fellowship LuncheonThe Boston Red Sox, in partnership with the Boston Area Church League, held their 15th annual Community Fellowship Luncheon on Friday, September 8th, at the Boston Back Bay Hilton Hotel. This year, local Robert “Ted” Tomasone was honored with the Ted Williams Home Run for Humanity Award. Tomasone was born in Boston’s North End, graduating from Boston English High School and going on to Northeastern University, the U.S. Army, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Next month, Tomasone will have completed 53 years of service to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Trial Court, where he currently serves as Clerk Magistrate of the Somerville District Court. But, more importantly, Tomasone has dedicated his life to serving the North End/Boston community and inner city youth. Over many years, he has raised over $2 million dollars and sponsored community activities ranging from after school programs, exposing North End kids to music, theater, sports and museums, to hosting an annual Christmas luncheon for the elderly and shut-ins in the city, a
