RE: A set time and clear postings of the Cable Advisory Committee meetings
To Whom it May Concern:
Why is it so difficult to give a set time well in advance for cable advisory board meetings? The residents paying huge access TV monies (franchise fee) deserve better than the skewed approach to the First Amendment, which is the mayor abusing her authority.
I would put Mrs. Burke in the TO above but rumor has it she is too busy at the Meadow Glenn Mall shopping to come to work!
Which is why in my proposal to Mayor McGlynn to operate the access station I noted clearly that the mayor needs to be removed from the
job of "issuing authority." McGlynn...and Mrs. Burke, can hardly control the school committee without people snickering at the appearance of conflict
Let's be frank, here, the mayor drags her feet on access, wants newly minted "station manager" Pat Gordon to bark, roll over, beg for the monies he is being paid, and has a cable advisory board with little or no real experience in access TV. The one member who does, Yvette Wilks, couldn't even show up on time for a meeting with the public waiting...the public being one person, yours truly, because these meetings are almost as secretive as the
phony Chapter 74 board at the high school, which I caught violating the Open Meeting Law.
If Mrs. Burke and Roy Belson are totally incompetent, Mrs. Burke needs to be stripped of the title and job of "issuing authority."
If Mrs. Burke and Roy Belson were pulling a fast one, which is more likely the case, deceiving the public (they may be incompetent but are they really that stupid?) then all the more reason to strip Muccini-Burke of the title of "issuing authority" ...strip her of the title faster than Stormy Daniels can drop her clothing in a stage performance.
Perhaps Mr. Hurtubise will put the hurt - and some advice - on the novice cable board to keep them honest and post those meetings well in advance.
And where they are going to take place
Thank you
