Lauren Feltch: Allegedly very close to the mayor, why is she leaving and is the job as secure as what she has now?   We wish Lauren, and Mr. Healy, well - however - Medford citizens pause at how Burke's crew operate in silence. What is going on?

People who DO NOT want to go on the record, alleging that Mrs. Burke is tired of the criticism, allegedly reads this blog religiously, and is looking for an exit:

---if Burke runs against Breanna Lungo-Koehn she has a 120k war chest, allegedly!  Remember, Burke's the incumbent

---if Burke steps down, McGlynn's alleged choice - John Falco - is the acting mayor AND "acting" incumbent.  This gives Falco, and McGlynn, "home field advantage."

---with word that Erin DiBenedetto, Paul Ruseau* and Paulette Van der Kloot rumored to be running for city council, they probably know something that we don't - that Falco will be acting mayor and, with Breanna Lungo-Koehn running for mayor, two seats will open up on the council.    (*Mr. Ruseau dispelled the rumor on his Facebook campaign page hours before we posted this; we are just noting that his name is mentioned in the "rumor mill," and we are just letting you know that he was part of the gossip!)

These are allegations, unconfirmed rumors, BUT HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I BEEN RIGHT?

Here's the Press Release published in the Medford Transcript...we told you it was coming!

Mayor Burke's purported good, good friend had a cushy job where she could come and go as she please, for a LOT of money.

Is she upgrading her life?  Or getting out of Dodge before Muccini-Burke allegedly retires?

PRESS RELEASE CITY HALL SENT TO TRANSCRIPT

Medford’s Crime Analyst Terence Healy and City Council and Community Relations Liaison Lauren Feltch have both accepted new positions in public service, according to a press release submitted by the City.
Healy, Crime Analyst for the Medford Police Department, is venturing into the Law Enforcement Division of the Department of Homeland Security in the U.S. Treasury Department. In Healy’s time with Medford he studied crime patterns and trend correlation. This allowed the city’s police officers to plan and deploy resources for the prevention and suppression of criminal activities, assisting the Medford Police Department in the investigation process and helped increase apprehensions. He was the City’s first civilian crime analyst.
Feltch has accepted a position in the Office of State Auditor Suzanne Bump. As an integral part of Mayor Burke’s staff Feltch was responsible for communications for the City of Medford, constituent issues, and was the City Council Liaison. In her new role as Director of External Affairs, she will be responsible for communication with policymakers, municipal officials, local businesses, and community organizations. She will help communicate the work of the Office of the State Auditor to the public.
Deanna Deveney, Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, will now take on the task of being the Mayor’s representative to the Medford City Council and lead communications for the City of Medford.
