Molly Day just sent me (2-28-19) the original photos of former Medford resident Jimmy Miller (Rolling Stones producer,) Jo Jo Laine from her photo shoot in 1986.
I met Molly in the offices of Music Connection magazine setting up the interview for Jimmy with the late Kenny Kerner, Gladys Knight/Kiss producer (Midnight Train to Gerogia) Kenny was the editor of Music Connection as well as being producer for Gladys Knight and Kiss!

That night they went to Molly's studio (she had recently worked with Joe Walsh of The James Gang before he joined the Eagles, if memory serves) I was much too tired to go to the photo session and went to bed at the hotel, Chateau Marmont.
They were at her studio ALL night having a blast taking photos. Haven't asked Molly if she has more photos of Jimmy, though I would imagine she does. Great woman. Both pictures were rather iconic for Jimmy and Jo Jo back in the day. Oh the good old days.

For YEARS I owned the Nelson Slater album WILD ANGEL. Nelson was a good friend of Lou Reed's in college so Lou produced this classic album.
MICK ROCK, photographer for Bowie, Lou Reed, etc. had a photo session in New York for a client of mine; Jo Jo came along with us and Mick flipped out that Jo Jo had returned to his studio...yet no one told me that she was the cover girl on this record album, the cover that was so
S * M that it actually interfered in record sales.
My dear friend Jo Jo in S & M drag, and for years I did not know that this was her! Cover of RCA album WILD ANGEL
Nelson performed with my band a few years back and says that we do the best Lou Reed Tribute that he has seen.

Back in the 1980s I promoted Mick's STRANGER IN TOWN CD. Lots of fun at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston
