To Breanna Lungo-Koehn - All the Medford Bills on Beacon Hill Currently and how they Impact Medford

Mayor elect Breanna Lungo Koehn
Medford City Hall
85 George P. Hassett Drive
Medford MA 02155

Dear Mayor elect Lungo Koehn:

Christine Barber's Bill H. 4079  191st (Current) appears to have consequences for Medford that many of your 60,000
or so citizens may not understand.   There's also  H.4082 191st (Current)  An Act exempting the labor service positions of the department of public works in the city of Medford from the civil service laws

Let's look at H.4079 first:

What is this legislation and how will it impact Medford AND your administration?

  • For the sake of Transparency - I believe these bills concerning Medford should be addressed at the city council on a weekly basis.   Taxpayers, ratepayers, civic groups, businesses, residents and visitors to Medford are often kept in the dark.
  • If a Rep Barber wants to file a bill on behalf of Medford, why is Rep Barber NOT showing up at council meetings and school committee meetings explaining herself and what she is doing and why?

When Councilor Michael Marks told Mark Rumley that he's "confused" - well - he ain't the only one.
