Committee seeking to fill one ‘general public’ position vacancy. Applicants must be Medford residents.
MEDFORD – The City of Medford is seeking to fill one general public position on the Community Preservation Committee (CPC). The CPC consists of nine volunteers, including four members from the general public and a member from each of the following bodies: the Community Development Board, the Conservation Commission, the Historical Commission, the Housing Authority, and Park Commission.
The CPC is tasked with implementation of the Community Preservation Act in Medford, which includes annually updating the Community Preservation Plan, reviewing project applications, and making recommendations to the City Council for use of the City’s Community Preservation Fund on eligible projects relating to community housing, historic preservation, open space, and outdoor recreation.
The CPC generally meets one evening a month, however when the CPC is considering applications for funding, it is possible that additional meetings will be held.
Applicants for appointed general public positions must be Medford residents and cannot be City of Medford employees. To apply, send letters of interest and qualifications to dtejera@medford-ma.gov.
