Early voting to be held in Alden Chambers at City Hall beginning August 22. COVID-19 safety guidelines will be in place.
Early voting for the September 1 Massachusetts State Primary will be held from Saturday, August 22, through Friday, August 28 in the City of Medford. Early voting will take place in the Howard F. Alden Chambers, 85 George P. Hassett Dr., and the City will ensure that social distancing and other Covid-19 safety regulations are followed. Early voting will be held as follows:
Saturday August 22 9:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m.
Sunday August 23 9:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m.
Monday August 24 8:30 a.m.—4:30 p.m.
Tuesday August 25 8:30 a.m.—4:30 p.m.
Wednesday August 26 8:30 a.m.—7:30 p.m.
Thursday August 27 8:30 a.m.—4:30 p.m.
Friday August 28 8:30 a.m.—12:30 p.m.
If you have requested a ballot by mail, the Medford Registrar of Voters Office is currently working to process requests and mail ballots.
COVID-19 Requirements to be in Place
During early voting, voters must adhere to all Covid-19 guidelines as set by the State and/or the City’s Board of Health. Regulations include:
- All voters, observers, and staff must wear face coverings. Face coverings must be worn over the nose and mouth.
- Social distancing guidelines will be enforced while voters wait in line both inside and outside of the polling place, as well as at voting booths.
- Election staff will disinfect each voting both and pen after every use.
- Election staff will be seated behind plexiglass barriers.
Central tabulation will be held on Tuesday, September 1 in the Howard F. Alden Chambers at Medford City Hall.
