A new podcast by the A & R guy that signed the band POISON to Enigma interviews a local booking agent.
Just got this tonight off of YouTube.
Guess they went into a recording studio a week or so ago and here's what they said...the station they aired on did NOT want music, only talk, so they moved the show to YouTube.
Booking agent Steve talking about running shows for U Mass Boston and the bands that played in the 1970s or early 80s:
“The Count was the
first band we got.
He was pretty big back then. People don't realize but
the Count used to have a following.”
Steev the DJ: (he signed the band Poison to Enigma)
I remember Count Viglione
Steve the booking agent: “He was one of the first guys who started putting out independent records
He was pretty big back in the day.”

Then, on my text tonight, Carly Simon's long time Music Director wrote this about my songwriting.
He is working on two of my classics, instrumental versions:
But, man, you're such a good and concise songwriter!!
Thanks for letting me work on the material.”
That today (March 5, 2021)
I wrote back “Playboy magazine called my songs “Compact, catchy and completely charming, with a wistful innocence beyond the reach of most jaded Seventies stars.”
Vol 24, #4 April 1977.
Interesting that the quote on March 5, 2021 from a professional who has recorded a ton of major soundtracks (Flawless, Julie Taymor's Beatles' flick and a bunch of others) says pretty much what Playboy Magazine stated 44 years ago...guess we still have the magic!

"Rock Maestro Joe Viglione is brilliant & one of the most generous artist/performers ! Very cool!"
