Keystone Cops Return!

The State Police Association of Massachusetts is suing the Massachusetts State Police for allegedly miscalculating troopers’ and sergeants’ regular rate of pay, resulting in a shortchanging of the officers’ overtime pay.  https://www.masslive.com/boston/2021/03/massachusetts-state-police-accused-of-miscalculating-troopers-and-sergeants-overtime-payments-in-state-police-association-of-massachusetts-lawsuit.html

The lawsuit, filed in Suffolk Superior Court on March 19, alleges that the department failed to “accurately calculate the regular rate and overtime rate of pay for its Troopers and Sergeants,” specifically by excluding the various stipends in those calculations, documents show. The Massachusetts State Police department and Colonel Christopher Mason are named as defendants in the suit.
