POLICE REPORT ON CITY COUNCIL vp Fw: public record request

Did anyone notice that after Modern Cop Magazine issued D.A. Marian Ryan's Disclosure list, a.k.a. The Brady list in March of 2020,  WBUR in August of that year - five months later - ran a similar story.

See WBUR story five months after our release of District Atty Ryan's Brady list.

Turns out that Medford has the most officers of any city or town in Middlesex County on this dreaded list.   The list means that the officers cannot be trusted, and the "Brady" tag means
that the D.A.'s office has to disclose this information to opposing parties.

Citizens need to be informed and read up on how this information helps you.

On April 1, 2021 the police dispatch had a strange disturbance at the Bank of America on Mystic Ave

If you go to the police log you will see "Disturb2" at 12:25:29  pm on the log, thirty-five minutes to 1 pm 278 Mystic Ave, the Bank of America.  Report taken by Officer Raymond .

The rumor mill began buzzing, but the mainstream media ignored this supposed "blip" on the radar, I put a public records
request in, which I received a response to on April 28, 2021.   Turns out that the Vice President of the Medford City Council, and a member of a local union, smashed the glass at the bank.  You know, those heavy, heavy glass doors.  And then he fled the scene.

Mr. Knight didn't call the bank manager, who was on duty, apologize and make reparations.  The elected official fled,
according to the police report.

The report lists Knight as a "suspect"   - see report here:

and it lists a woman as a witness who purportedly phoned the police when the vehicle fled
"at a high rate of speed."

The property was a glass door and frame valued at $1200.00.

The police report noted the suspect was 40;s to 50's (Mr. Knight is 42) and that he was
"causing a disturbance."

Mr. Knight's discussion with the police noted that he went to three areas of the bank to retrieve money
from the ATM, that he yelled out the Lord's name ("Jesus Christ") and claims that he pushed the door.
Knight claims that he "shoved" it open.   How hard must you "shove" a bank door for the glass to
shatter, the frame allegedly fall off, with no regard for the public Knight was elected to serve.

Seniors, children and others could have glass go in their eyes, mouth, a big enough piece of glass
could have done some serious harm.

And then the witness said Mr. Knight fled "at a high rate of speed."

Detective Sgt. P. Mackowski determined that the suspect's actions  (the city council VP)
were "wanton or careless" and the detective is now seeking a complaint against Adam Knight
for one count of wanton destruction of property over $1200.00   The Sgt. gave a basis for
"probable cause."

The witness gave information about the car the suspect arrived and fled in.

This kind of conduct could be considered "moral turpitude," in which case the council
and the police need to figure out how to best proceed to benefit the voters, the taxpayers
and the general public.

In my opinion, Knight should resign or be removed.

On Tuesday, May 4, 2021 this reporter is scheduled to speak to the city council after 7 pm
I wrote a polite but pointed essay and demanded that Clerk Adam Hurtubise print it in its
entirety to alert the public to this matter.

Instead the clerk ignored the request and wrote this:

Joseph A. Viglione has filed a petition to discuss the reputation and character of a city
employee.  To participate remotely outside of Zoom, please e-mail AHurtubise@medford-ma.gov.

I don't believe what is on the council agenda is accurate.  To call an elected official an "employee"
and to say I'm going to discuss his "character" is not what I wrote.   The facts are that the councilor
is in a police report.  He is not an ordinary employee, with the idea of "personnel matters" protecting
them, but a public figure open to scrutiny during an election cycle.

Public figure Adam Knight smashed the glass and fled the scene.  Why is the Medford City Council
so full of anxiety when denying the voters information which can give them options.  Denying the
information is borderline election tampering and it is wrong.
