Cooling Centers Open 6/7 and 6/8 by Jackie Piques Due to forecasts of high temperatures over the next several days, cooling centers will be open at multiple locations on Monday, June 7th and Tuesday, June 8th Cooling centers will be open for all residents, and will offer air conditioning and water for those in need. Cooling center locations: • City Council Chambers at City Hall, 85 George P. Hassett Drive, 8:30am – 4:30pm • Police Department Community Room, 100 Main Street, 9am – 6pm • Senior Center, 9am – 6pm • Engine 5 Fire Station Community Room, 0 Medford Street, 9am – 6pm • Medford Public Library (temporary location), 200 Boston Ave, 9am – 9pm • West Medford Community Center, 111 Arlington Street, 9am – 5pm If you have questions, you can contact the City of Medford Multilingual Resource Line during normal business hours at 781-475-5644. For 24/7 non-emergency, heat-related concerns, call the Medford Police Department business line at 781-395-1212. As always, call 911 if you are experiencing an emergency.
