During today's severe weather, several Medford properties suffered water-related damage that displaced residents at one apartment building and impacted the electrical system at the Chevalier Theatre and Rec Center.

Thankfully, no one was injured and the damage can be repaired, though it will take some time to make the repairs at both locations. Thank you to our staff from multiple departments who responded to each of these incidents and continue to work with residents and businesses to secure the sites: Police, Fire, DPW, Board of Health, and the Building Department. And thank you to the Medford Public Schools and St. Joseph's Parish for opening your doors as a temporary shelter for residents. The Red Cross has been contacted to help any residents who may be in need of longer-term shelter and our staff will continue to monitor both locations.
