SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS ARE LESBIANS

...I met a woman in 1973 via my band; she was one of the first singers in a band of ours which was modeled on Mamas and the Papas.  I have an amazing tape, "Hey Sunday Morning" that I must release.  We recorded it in the bathtub for natural reverb with my reel-to-reel, a song written by our other guitarist, his girlfriend one of the singers, the lesbian woman (I love that phrase! So redundant) the other singer.

    So my pal, who went to an equally amazing (guess I'm in need of Rumley's Thesarus) Bette Midler concert at the Paradise so many years back, she invited me, says to me "No offense, Joe, but I was at a woman's concert...25,000 women and only one man (the drummer) and it was heaven."

   Don't Blame Me!  Lesbians like women, homosexuals like men.  Some of us even get along with each other, but to lump a group of human beings who like being with women, like being with each other, and to lump a bunch of guys who would rather be guys, together as "queer" is like using the N word repeatedly.

   It isn't fair, and fucking Zac fucking Bears just doesn't get it, that fat moronic son of a bitch.
