Milling + Paving on South St., Mystic Ave. Beginning 9/23 by Jackie Piques Beginning on Thursday, September 23rd, Eversource contractors will be milling and paving on South St. and Mystic Ave. The schedule will be as follows (weather permitting):   Overnight on Thursday, September 23rd and Friday, September 24th, from 7:30pm to approximately 5am: Milling on Mystic Ave., between the fire station and Crescent St. Monday, September 27th and Tuesday, September 28th, from 7am until approximately 4pm: Milling on South St. Overnight on Monday, October 4th and Tuesday, October 5th, from 7:30pm to approximately 5am: Paving on Mystic Ave. Thursday, October 7th and Friday, October 8th, from 7am until approximately 4pm: Paving on South St.   During all work, no traffic detours are expected, however we advise seeking alternate routes whenever possible. Please exercise caution when traveling on grooved surfaces. While work is being conducted, residents and businesses should have access to driveways, however you should anticipate a brief period of time after paving is complete where driving on the new asphalt may not be permitted to allow the pavement to set.   Following milling activities, crews will conduct additional work on sidewalk ramps in these areas before completing final paving.
