A September 14, 2021 article from Kinga Borondy in Wicked Local puts the exclamation point on Breanna Lungo-Koehn's massive lead over John Falco's flailing campaign.   Eleven hundred more votes than John Falco is twice the votes that allegedly separated Stephanie Muccini-Burke and Bob Penta in 2015.

The lack of excitement surrounding this election is reflected in the October 13th debate's zero coverage, not only by the Medford Transcript  and Medford Patch, but by no mention that we could find in the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, TV 4, 5, 7, 10, Fox 25, it's the proverbial tree falling in the forest....if no one is there to hear it, did it make any sound?

Of the more than 41,000 registered voters, 8,394 residents cast a ballot in an election with a 20 percent turnout. The voters affirmed Lungo-Koehn’s leadership and elevated two newcomers into the top six vote-getters in the race for School Committee.

3,968 votes were cast for Mayor Lungo-Koehn; about 47-percent of the votes cast, while 2,896 votes were cast for City Councilor Falco, about 35-percent of the votes. Petrella earned 1,431 votes, roughly 17-percent of all votes cast in the mayoral contest. He will not be on the November ballot.
