Patrick asked Covelle to resign through a letter from Aaron Gornstein, his housing undersecretary, on Thursday, citing the findings of the federal audit. Patrick also replaced his appointment to the authority's commission Eugene McGillicuddy with Sean Caron. McGillicuddy is related to McGlynn through marriage, he said during a housing meeting in April after being asked about his relationship to McGlynn

My pal Rep Donato refused to believe, at first, that I got to Governor Deval Patrick.

The Grand Nephew Joe vs Gene McGillicuddy's nephew, Mike McGlynn. And we both went to Arlington Catholic, go figure.
Look, I loved old Uncle Gene (McGlynn's uncle Gene, not my uncle Gene, I had one too! I liked McGlynn's uncle a LOT better than that Irishman who invaded our family)
He was a superb person, McGlynn's uncle, at the TV station...but he simply didn't belong on the board of directors of Medford Housing Authority.
Massive conflict of interest...and if I'm a betting man, which I am, betcha Lt Governor Tim Murray allegedly did the dirty deed appointing him, not Deval.
Which is why cement blocks fly through my bedroom window at 5:20 am after I move across the street to Malden. Go figure.
Yesterday we broke the story on the Medford Housing Authority losing a huge case.
Alex Newman at the Patch will attribute it to Wicked Local...then again, Newman is a typist, not a gumshoe reporter.
You can hear puzzled Newman thinking "what's gumshoe?"
Is it Alex Newman or Alfred E. Neuman? Only Mad Magazine and his hairdresser know for sure
OK, I'm gloating, deservedly so....do you know how many members of Medford Housing Authority have stalked me over the years?
Michael Luongo and his wife. Gee, I'm at Panera, Luongo and the Misses are sitting next to me.
I go to Maury Carroll's establishment, Mark Tonello and Miss Tipsy are sitting next to me. I'm either extremely popular or so loathed that they can't get enough of me. Market Basket, Stop & Shop, Luongo and the wifey-do who tells me to stop writing bad things about Donald Trump.
Why oh why isn't Kent McCord or handsome Tom Hardy (Venom) stalking me?
I feel like Bette Midler in Ruthless People: "I've been marked down!"
And then there's the six people I have or had Harassment Protection Orders against.
GQ material they are not! Two judges gave me two different orders of protection against
the woman who broke my arm.
To quote or paraphrase Will Smith in I Robot, "I can't be this unlucky."
I won't say it in court, but methinks after the cement block missed me, 6 months later some 25 year
old hurling me down a flight of steps is no coincidence. She's facing four years in prison, the case is pending currently.
One of the judges who put a restraining order on her probably doesn't remember me, but when I beat TV3 in Somerville District he (from another jurisdiction) called me "very logical."
Indeed I am.
Medford Housing Loses Big Time. I could have written a professional press release on this,
however gloating is NOT overrated.
MIKE Luongo, you told me you were going to resign. You have as much credibility today as Facebook
