APPEALING THE FAILURE OF THE MPD TO HAND OVER THE ADAM KNIGHT PHOTOS

please note: i was on the verge of exhaustion today when I wrote this.  better to get it sent out with wrecked grammar than to let it sit on a shelf.   No editing was done, it was a first draft that I simply had to send immediately to get the clock ticking on the appeal.

thank you for pardoning me for zipping it off.

Lieutenant Joseph W. Casey

Medford Police Dept

100 Main St

Medford MA 02155

Dear Lt Joseph W. Casey and Solicitor Scanlon,

I am appealing Officer Casey's failure to deliver the photographs for these reasons.

I am alerting some members of the local press that the citizens were not notified that

a candidate for city council was dragged into criminal court magistrate's hearing on 9/24/21

and that the case is open.

The Public Records Division of the Secretary of the Commonwealth is included

in this e mail as well.

In the May 10, 2021 issues of the Medford Transcript, a Kinga Borondy article,

it is noted that Mr. Knight was allegedly charged with wanton destruction of property.

That's a pretty serious offense, even more so that Knight demands respect he hasn't

earned, and is dangerous when he doesn't get his way.  Mr. Knight is immature and

is a hothead.  So why hush up the story to the detriment of the citizens you are required

to serve and protect, Lieutenant Casey.

I'll go even further, by denying the voters the information - even if you were technically

correct - I believe you hurt the public (not the first time for a police department with more

Brady-branded officers than any other in Middlesex County.)  Shame on the Mayor for

not cleaning up a messy situation.

May 10 Medford Transcript

Kinga Borondy / Special to the Medford Transcript

Medford Police are still investigating an April 1 incident involving City Councilor Adam Knight in the lobby of the Bank of America building on Mystic Avenue

that resulted in smashed glass and a broken door frame.

The incident, according to Knight, was “just an accident. There’s not much of a news story.”

Mr. Knight claims it is "not much of a news story."  Now that's delusional.

A city council vice president / wanton destruction / criminal court magistrate,

"not much of a news story."

It begs the question, why did the Transcript not do its job (my former editor

Nell Coakley snickering in her former office on High St. "who says that it's

a woman" about her informants at city hall.   I alleged it is Mike McGlynn

who is my former editor's source, and Mr. McGlynn protects Mr. Knight.

Do the math.  You're the investigator, Lt. Casey

But I know too much.

So the Transcript covered it up, just like dear old Nell let the

TV3 fiasco go on too long and never looked for the missing 38K.

How great reporters got let go at Gannett and how Ms. Escobar Coakley

on the payroll is mind blowing.    C'est la vie, reporters in Medford are

too afraid of the police and city hall.

The tragedy is how the police cheated the voters and taxpayers this

election cycle, but they will gleefully post nonsense about innocent people

that they don't like.   I have proof, which you are probably aware of.

Please deliver the photos that are of such great public interest.

The election is over; Mr. Knight prevailed because of the failure of the mainstream press

(The Patch, Wicked Local) to report on Knight's alleged malfeasance, and your greater

obligation, Lieutenant, is to the people who pay you to serve.

"To serve and protect" doesn't mean that the MPD should hide that a candidate who has legal

issues.  It does disservice to the public, cheats the taxpayers and the voters, and benefits

the suspicious individual with a history of a bad temper and underhanded shenanigans.

Mr. Knight was highly volatile and unbalanced one night at the city council, and aimed

his venom at this reporter.   I don't take it personally, Knight's antics are legend, caught

on camera at the city council.

The bigger problem is the lack of public safety.  As you know I was assaulted in

April of 2010 at the city council (your police determined I was the sole victim,)

attacked by a city clerk, had to put up with Paul Camuso's violent antics (coming at

me in the parking lot after a council meeting; only one of many instances,) and

Adam Knight's bizarre quite public behavior.

As Justin Tseng (in the TO above) stated on the campaign trail, city hall is an

unsafe place.   And who are the protectors?   It's supposed to be you and

Chief Buckley's discriminating officers of the alleged law.

This writer is Exhibit A of how a Paul MacKowski, Kevin Faller and Paul Covino

can break the law and violate an elder's civil rights, and spit at him (me) while

doing it.    Ex City Clerk Ed Finn skips a subpoena to criminal court after he

slugs a senior, and Breanna Lungo-Koehn praises Finn as he retires.

It is beyond sick.  It is terribly wrong.

SOME FACTS AS TO WHY THIS REPORTER DESERVES TO SERVE

THE PUBLIC IN A WAY YOU FAIL TO, AND BRING THE DATA TO THE

EYES OF THE VOTERS, TAXPAYERS AND VISITORS TO MEDFORD

1)On or about October 29 I received two photos anonymously of Adam Knight,

the city council vice president, at the Medford Mystic Ave Bank of America.

I believe I sent copies to your office at the MPD, Lieutenant.

a)these photos could only have come from Medford Police Dept or

Bank of America security, or someone inside the bank with access to the

photos.

b)you are aware, obviously due to the content of my public records requests,

anonymous sources at the police station and at city hall are feeding me information.

Clearly, there are individuals that believe in "to serve and protect," and the oath

of office that you took.

Too bad they won't reveal themselves to me but being a somewhat persistent

journalists, I have an idea on who these informants may be, even with blocked

phone numbers.

2)That a reporter was onto this story before any other media outlet. And the

readers were outraged and disgusted.  Mr. Knight is hardly popular, so when

one sees the votes and looks at the anger from many citizens in regards to

Knight, well, you'd be a fool to trust Ed Finn or Clerk Adam Hurtubise, I will

just leave it at that.

3)There is GREAT public interest in how a VP of a city council getting an estimated

thirty thousand dollars a year can avoid getting scrutiny when the police determined

that Mr. Knight committed an act of violence.

I believe the public interest outweighs the desires of those who need Adam Knight

for votes on the council.  But that's simply me editorializing.

I have no personal vendetta against Mr. Knight.  My goal is to remove Knight, Scarpelli,

Caraviello, Paul Ruseau, Zac Bears, and other reprehensible reprobates from city

government where they don't belong.   Let Waste Management hire them, but the

bottom line, you are getting a huge paycheck while I'm volunteering precious time

to do your work for you.

JJ McLean got 119k a year while working at MPD.  So why was it Joe Viglione

that finally removed TV3?

Because I care.

"No one would do this for himself.  You are doing this to help the city."

Atty Mark Rumley with the unclean hands finally telling the truth,

his opinion of this writer, paraphrased.

Let this document also be a public record of Medford's ongoing malfeasance.

Some crooked council VP slid in again because those hired to protect and

serve chose not to.

Sincerly,

Joe Viglione
