Greetings,
1)My apologies that yesterday's e mail had grammar issues.
It was a first draft. I was on the verge of exhaustion from
meetings over the past 2 weeks. It's been intense.
Again, my apologies.
This is my re-write of the Appeal filed yesterday
WHY APPEAL IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY
2)It's quite simple. The photos of City Council VP Adam Knight
attacking a bank door were critical for the November 2, 2021
election. Voters were denied the information to make an
informed choice.
3)That Mr. Knight was able to control the media, as a public figure,
saying it was "not a news story," in the weekly paper - just ludicrous
4)There are rumblings in Medford that some citizens want a new
election. We know that's a huge mountain to climb. I will be
suggesting a more manageable solution: a recall of Councilor Knight
I am appealing Lt. Casey's response to the public records request
It is interesting that I got the police report in record time, yet these
photographs, critical information for the public, were denied me.
I believe the photographs are part of the police report and therefore
they should be available to the public.
The Department of Social Services is in touch with me. They are very
interested in the photographs.
This police department is deficient when it comes to the needs of the
children and seniors. A senior has been brutally attacked at city hall
twice (April, 2010, June 2015,) the mayor herself a witness to the
violent ex city clerk beating up a then-resident; the police have a
floppy disc my news organization delivered to them regarding an
alleged 15 year old whose nude photographs were sold on the
internet, and the police hide it, fail to do a proper investigation,
because the alleged pornographer is a close friend of the former
mayor that the current mayor, Lungo-Koehn, railed about as she
exited the Chevalier/Chamber of Commerce debate last month.
Protecting Adam Knight by DENYING the photographs when
the MPD handed me the police report in record time isn't puzzling:
someone - perhaps the unions - or ex Mayor McGlynn - got to
the police and hurt the voters and taxpayers by not letting this
information out. And the perpetrator used his muscle as a public
figure to misinform the press.
That more dishonest police officers exist in Medford vis-a-vis
District Attorney Marian Ryan's Brady / Discovery list than anywhere
else in Middlesex County is a black eye on the mayor as well as
the police chief.
OK, we have a deficient and untrustworthy police department.
The community knows this. The malfeasance of Paul Covino,
Captain Kevin Faller and retired detective Paul Mackowski,
Harry MacGilvray's little escapade getting him in Boston Magazine,
and these fellows aren't even on the Brady list, shows the rule
in Medford. Not the exception.
We have a convicted felon on the school committee and now
Adam Knight, at a magistrate's hearing on September 24, 2021,
and the Mayor's office and your police department, Lt. Casey,
knowing this reporter has asked repeatedly about the court case,
with ZERO transparency, let the alleged perpetrator get a pass.
I am appealing your decision not to give the press the photographs
AFTER the court hearing.
Like the floppy disc of an allegedly nude 15 year old boy, there is
no law in Medford. It is the decision of the powers that be what is
legal and what is illegal. That is plain wrong and the violation of your
oath of office, in my opinion.
Of course, when city clerk Adam Hurtubise looks like farmer Jones
in pictures, and allegedly is cropped out by the mayor, you see
the irresponsibility and negligence by appointed and elected officials.
I am, again, requesting this information.
It is not personal. I would be asking the same questions regarding
clerk Hurtubise, Council President Caraviello, Councilor Bears etc. etc.
Please e mail me the photographs and stop stalling.
This is a formal appeal to the Public Records Division
Respectfully,
Joe Viglione
