We have now come to learn that Deanna Deveney has been fired and that Anthony DePierro will not resign because his vote is too important to the mayor who wants to have Sergio Cornelio removed from the city clerk's position.

Bottom line, racism survives and thrives in Everett where the city council is clueless, the mayor is part of the problem, and Black and Brown people, Hispanics and Brazilians are treated as second class citizens by the mayor and his goons. Watching the mayor today during the Haitian Flag Raising Ceremony revealed the absurdity of the event. Haitians take it very seriously. The mayor attends as a responsibility but wants nothing to do with Haitian people and when he returned home he probably complained that it was too long and called Haitian people behind their backs with the same words used by his cousin and protege DiPierro. The mayor does not care for Black people. He has no Black friends. He's the kind of fake who shakes hands with Blacks and then needs to wash his hands. During a rally a year or two back when Gerly Adrien was still around, and hundreds of Blacks, Browns and white people attended, the mayor was allegedly heard to say after the crowd left the front of city hall that "the place will need to be steam cleaned." Nice touch. That's Everett's leadership for you. Racist councilors. A racist mayor. A do nothing government that accepts and endorses second class treatment for Blacks and Browns.
