Medford Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn and Fire Chief John Freedman, honored three Medford residents who came to the aid of a driver trapped in a burning vehicle on the evening of April 7.

The SUV hit a tree on Lawrence Road, broke apart and came to rest in front of a Pat Theberge’s Lawrence Road home. Theberge, along with neighbors Robert Camelio and Bill Radochia, rushed to the driver’s aid, using fire extinguishers in an attempt to put out the fire. As the fire continued to burn, they pried open the driver door and pulled the man to safety.

The three neighbors were presented with citations for their bravery in the face of grave danger and saving the life of the driver.  https://www.wickedlocal.com/story/medford-transcript/2022/06/01/medford-neighbors-rescuing-accident-victim-burning-vehicle/7466872001/?utm_source=wickedlocal-TheTranscript&JournalThursdayBriefing&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=daily_briefing&utm_term=hero&utm_content=NWKL-MASSACHUSETTS-WICKEDLOCAL-NLETTER22
