Rather than grab attention going after the misguided New England Baptist Church, one would think Neil Osborne would be OUTRAGED by Deanna Deveney's dirty mouth and cackling at the expense of minority people.
Look, we all love Jackie Robinson, Sidney Poitier, Diana Ross singing for the Queen of England, Ms. Ross embracing diversity and - in effect - being color blind, loved by the world. I could write article after article on the Supremes (saw them when Jean Terrell replaced Diana at the Orpheum Theater, brilliant show back in the 1970s...) but those are the easy people and events to talk about. Those are "safe" articles. Why isn't Mr. Osborne doing the RIGHT thing, not the SAFE thing, and discussing his old colleague, Deanna Deveney, now exposed as a racist.
You know why? Because Mr. Osborne is, sadly, cut from the same cloth as Ms. Deveney. He hasn't said a word that I can find, and that, Mayor Lungo-Koehn, is the true outrage.
Dear Mayor Lungo-Koehn: Why is Neil Osborne seemingly so afraid to take on the Deanne Deveney issue? We want to know, and it is something that YOU should want to know.
