17the Women's Night Fundraiser When:Thursday, September 15, 6 - 8 pm Where: Our yard at 67 Dane Street, Somerville I’m running for re-election, and I’m unopposed. Thanks to many of you, I have campaign funds in reserve. So this year, instead of asking for money for my campaign, I’m asking people to support movements to protect the rights we’ve taken for granted: reproductive rights, voting rights, civil rights, and more. I’m asking you to contribute now, so it will have most impact, to one or more of these organizations: The Karen Edlund Future Nurse Leader Fellowship supports Black, Brown and Indigenous future nurses in becoming leaders in Sexual and Reproductive Health. Karen Edlund, RN, was a member of our Women’s Night Committee for many years until she died in 2019. An exemplary nurse leader, she served as the Director of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Program at the Mass. Department of Public Health for 23 years, where she developed and managed critical initiatives to ensure access to comprehensive SRH services. Donations can be mailed to: Nurses for Sexual and Reproductive Health Donate to NSRH The Movement Voter Project funds local community organizations in key states to build long-term organizing that strengthens campaigns in battleground states. Donate to the Movement Voter Project The States Project funds winnable races for state legislature in states where control of the state legislature is at stake.  Donate to The States Project For over 50 years, MassNOW has been one of the leading multi-issue, multi-strategy feminist organizations in the Commonwealth, organizing to pursue equity, act for justice, and build intersectional feminism.  I’ve worked with them on the campaign to end period poverty.  Donate to Mass NOW You can support my campaign by: putting on a bumper sticker (email me at patjehlen@gmail.com),  inviting your friends to subscribe to my newsletter (bottom of the page at electpatjehlen.org) and  coming to our Women’s Night Garden Party on September 15.
