“At approximately 4:20 a.m., on Sunday, February 5, 2023, the Medford Emergency Communications Center received a call from a party located in Medford Square for the report of a fire in the area of Mystic Avenue,” the Medford Police Department said in a release.

According to information on Google Maps, the building at 58 Swan Street housed Eastern Tool Corporation, OWL Engineering, and the Coastal Milling Works Group.
“Firefighters located the man inside a bathroom and began lifesaving measures. He was
transported to Massachusetts General Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries,” the department said.

MEDFORD, MASS. (WHDH) - One person is dead after a fire at a commercial building in Medford, officials said.
The fire broke out at 58 Swan Street early Sunday morning. Police say someone on scene told them a worker had been sleeping inside the business.
Officers say they found the employee in the bathroom and rushed him to the hospital.
The medical examiner is working to identify the victim.
