Police
do not want to be held accountable for their wrongful conduct. Harry
MacGilvray is certainly the poster boy for that, in a position of power
he set a very bad example, and dislikes that I post about it. But,
Harry, you abused your authority and behaved like a tenth grader. That
you show no remorse and don't even think you did anything wrong is truly
the problem. When I was in Dunkin Donuts Salem Street with your crew
maybe a decade ago, you fellows kept talking about your First Amendment
rights. Do you recall what I said? "Lawyers and police officers do not
have 1st Amendment rights, especially on the job." You should have
listened instead of just hearing me. I was right, as usual. "

A
state commission released several thousand disciplinary records for
law enforcement across Massachusetts on Tuesday in a long-awaited
effort to improve police accountability.
The Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission, known as POST, released the database
containing 3,413 records of over 2,100 officers from 273 law
enforcement agencies in Massachusetts. It includes the officer’s name,
brief details about the incident, when it occurred and any disciplinary
action.
POST
Executive Director Enrique Zuniga told GBH News that the release is
the start of a process the agency plans to improve over time, and that
POST will update the information the future, ideally monthly.
