This
disaster of a board of directors (full disclosure: I was on the board
of the radio station here and eventually shut that quasi-board down. )
I'm the one who actually kept the radio board alive while 2 station
managers wanted it gone.
When the radio board couldn't get its act
together (I was originally videotaping Facebook Live and even taking the meeting minutes till Dan
Burke took over) not realizing I'm the guy who kept it alive, I signed
off on ending the debacle as well.
What a joke.
Somerville Media Center
just as inept and bungling.
They knew when Curtatone was in office
they couldn't stay at the firehouse forever, but they ignored the
writing on the wall and disrupted the free speech for all the members.,
Another clown show.
Heather Mack is a joke with a history of bad
manners at her previous station.
File under; I know too much
Somerville
Community Access Television, doing business as Somerville Media
Center, has been ordered by Mayor Katjana Ballantyne to cease
operations in its facility at 90 Union Square and vacate the building by
August 31, 2023.
SMC
will leave its present location at the city’s request and is
negotiating a commercial lease for another location in Somerville to
rebuild SMC’s television studios, its internet radio station Boston Free
Radio, and youth and adult education spaces as soon as possible. In
the meantime, we are working with our partners to find temporary
locations for our youth program, our producers, our gallery, and all
the art and media our members produce. https://www.thesomervilletimes.com/archives/126450
