 He told police he had left the apartment that day with the intention of hurting or killing someone.

 

McCue's original defense attorney said Monday morning that McCue's family said he is schizophrenic and had been off his medications for three days before the attack.

 

His defense attorney said he’s been a client of the state mental health agency for 9 years.

 

McCue switched attorneys between court hearings, and the latest attorney withdrew a request for a mental evaluation.
