Why I UnSubscribed from Inexpensive Boston Herald, a Paper on Its Last Legs

the BOSTON HERALD END OF DAYS

Remember what Lou Reed said about Brian Ferry of Roxy Music?  "He was fun for ten minutes."   Same can be said about the Boston Herald.

Howie Carr was fun for 5 minutes, but he's become a parody of his former self, which was a walking parody to begin with.  Yapping to his dwindling MAGA crowd, a reflection of the Boston Herald newspaper's current mission statement: throw red meat to the low I.Q. idiots that Donald Trump turned the rocks over to uncover.

Carr does have the knack for interviewing dead men walking, he got the final interview with that creepy sheriff Jimmy DiPaola (was Dipaola's wife (allegedly) really involved (allegedly) with his best friend, the (alleged) mayor?  With friends like alleged Michael J. McGlynn, allegedly Jimmy, you have the alleged enemies inside your alleged home. Their alleged home not yours, if you get my alleged drift!)

Martha Coakley refused to give me DiPaola's suicide notes (plural, allegedly, as my informants tell me) via Public Records Request, but I knew that in advance. The ploy was to get the denial to remove all doubt.  The doubt of the thought that DiPaola was intentionally murdered to get removed by force.

And then Carr interviews the detestable Donald J. Trumpe' ! Like I said, Dipaola?  Trump?  Dead men walking.  Though the obese Donald might get a few years in prison before he goes the way of John Gotti...or maybe Al Capone...who knows these things these days.  Certainly not the Boston Herald.

Then there's this insufferable imbecile, Joe Battenfool, or is it Joe Bats-in-the-belfry....Joe Battenfraud is more like it.

In six years his youtube has 126 views.  Heck, this blog gets more than that in one day!  Sheesh.   https://youtu.be/fLPPp1BQLkQ

You Tube

Joe Vig talks to Jodie Foster  11,000+ views  https://youtu.be/uZLAn_LdTw4

Joe Vig talks to Mark Farner  20,000 views +  https://youtu.be/qfMVFZAoG9E

Joe Vig talks to Ray Manzarek 45,000 views +  https://youtu.be/eWGeEuhylbc

Mr. Manzarek and his wife asked me to drive them to the Howie Carr show from TV3 Medford....I believe in giving to the poor so we threw the crumb to Howie and drove them!!!!!  So sad that I had to crush TV 3 and force Mayor McGlynn to shut the homophobes down, but that's life.  In 2013, October, Happy Anniversary to defunct TV3, I guess, it was ten years ago this month I forced McGlynn to throw them out!!!  HARR HARR HARR, COWIE! HARR!

Now we have some real work to do, suffice it to say, the Herald has about as much credibility as Donald J. Trump and we predict the newspaper will be replaced by Billy Tauro's Somerville News Weekly, as I'm the guy who brought Tauro's paper to Medford, now called the Somerville/Medford News Weekly.

Joe V and Billy Tauro on TV.  Somewhere I have a photo of me standing next to Billy's car with its TRUMP bumper sticker in the TV station parking lot but I'm too bored to pull it up to post. And Billy, I just dropped 10 pounds from Aug 24 to October 16,2023, so let's blame the camera!

Judge Murphy, I rest my case!

But Murphy's attorneys said Wedge got numerous details wrong and depicted Murphy as a heartless judge who demeaned the rape victim.

On Monday, the SJC said the press has the right - and even a duty - to examine the judicial branch of government and to criticize judges and other court officials.

"The press, however, is not free to publish false information about anyone (even a judge whose sentencing decisions have incurred the wrath of the local district attorney), intending that it will cause a public furor, while knowing, or in reckless disregard of, its falsity," the court said in its written ruling.

The state's highest court on Monday upheld a $2 million verdict against the Boston Herald won by a Superior Court judge who said the newspaper libelously depicted him as soft on crime and insensitive to the suffering of a 14-year-old rape victim.

In February 2005, a jury found the newspaper had libeled Judge Ernest Murphy in a series of articles. Murphy said a Herald reporter misquoted him as telling lawyers involved in a case about the rape victim: "Tell her to get over it." Murphy denied ever making the statement.

In its appeal, attorneys for the Herald and its reporter, David Wedge, said Wedge did everything he could to ensure the stories were accurate, including twice trying to get comment from the judge himself.
