When your hated enemies cheer, you must recognize that their victory lap is not good for you.
During the 2015 election in Medford a huge scandal allegedly was hushed up allegedly by Police Chief Leo A. "in the pocket" Sacco, Jr., allegedly by School Superintendent Roy E. Belson who said to a new hire that he was accused of hiding "sexual predators," allegedly by the director of personnel (now Mayor Burke) and five days after a public records request was filed in December of 2015, the response was to file false charges against the journalist seeking the information.
The journalist made all the appropriate moves after he was physically molested by a public official.
(Remember, molestation isn't always sexual.)
1)He went to the police and filed a report
2)The police department performed a shoddy alleged "investigation," in line with what a robbery victim alleged happened - shoddy investigation
3)The victim has been harassed and physically assaulted for years with no intervention by the police - police who have actually BEGGED for evidence, BEGGED only to - allegedly - deep six it to protect a friend of a former public official.
These are high stakes, and OUR investigation into this is ongoing.
A woman allegedly had inappropriate relations with a Medford High School former teacher and former varsity coach.
It was allegedly hushed up for Election 2015.
A journalist puts in a public records request which the city failed to properly answer. The request was made to the police and to the high school.
Five days later the journalist is being falsely accused.
On Halloween this editor went into court without a lawyer and won. It was a huge victory for the people, and now we have what a judge called "a favorable position" as we go over information and news tips to benefit the city of Medford.
Former Lt. J J McLean said to this writer "You won, you won...and the city is better off for it."
The city will continue to be better off as the investigation into the varsity coach and the woman has new information from new sources...it is going to pull the curtain from the Wizard's hiding place...and it will be more embarrassing than convicted court clerk Jim Burke who had sex with a defendant in Chelsea court.
