Assistant Attorney General
Division of Open Government
Dear Erica Warren and Sarah Monahan:
I want to thank you for investing the time into the research you put into my complaint.
Mr. Caraviello has been a reckless public official, lying under oath to the Medford police,
allegedly committing perjury in criminal court on 1/31/17, allegedly hiring a scurrilous
person at his limo company (now deceased,) etc. etc. etc.
It is up to every journalist, the Fourth Estate, to hold the bad element accountable.
The bad element, which Caraviello is certainly one of!
Having known that individual for years I'm quite sure he is mocking the system and
relishing the fact that he got away with it. Caraviello was reelected tonight, as was
the subject of the criminal investigation, Councilor Adam Knight.
Few in the community fight as hard as I do to hold these disrespectful individuals
accountable. They resort to violence (ex clerk Edward P. Finn,) snubbing a subpoena
to criminal court (Edward P. Finn,) lying to the police (Richard F. Caraviello,) and
other underhanded, selfish maneuvers that pad their pocket books, but degrade the
city of Medford.
A "thank you" from Richard Caraviello is like getting praise from Bernie Madoff.
So Caraviello and Knight were able to fail the voters again, no matter what the
Open Meeting law rules are. Medford loses. When Caraviello lost in criminal
court he went on a stalking campaign showing up at my home, blasting his
horn at me while I was entering the laundromat, yelling in my car window
between Spring St and Central Ave. Childish, immature behavior by an
angry, indecent, dishonest city councilor.
To watch Mr. Caraviello stab his colleagues in the back is a thing of beauty.
Such a wretched, insignificant creature not known outside of the Medford
borders.
Fear not! This journalist shall continue studying the wrongful conduct of
the city council and school committee. That we have 4,400 or so hits *(for our
online magazine) on Election night (we always do well during election cycles) in 28 hours indicates that the public needs my independent voice.
2,100,794 - over 2 million views as of 12:28 am,
in about ten years of publishing, means that someone is
reading what we write.
Again, I thank you for your time and effort. Mr. Caraviello is
gloating. The taxpayers seeing their pocketbooks emptying
with that individual on the council praise my efforts.
Thank you again. We will keep the scoundrels on notice
that wrongful conduct by elected officials will NOT be tolerated.
Respectfully,
Joe Viglione
