Here's the good news: a former Patch editor told me things in other cities, some out of state, are much worse when it comes to trolls and aliases hurling invective and being disruptive. That being said, it is important that people know the history of what you see unfold almost daily on Patch and understand who the instigators are. THE OTHER VERY IMPORTANT PART OF THIS EQUATION IS WHAT IT IS COSTING YOU IN DOLLARS WHEN THOSE HURLING MUD DON'T WANT YOU INVESTIGATING HOW THEY SPENT YOUR MONEY.
You see, that's the long and the short of it. The TV3 gang learned long ago that if they create a distraction, if they lie about residents, two things happen that benefit them:
a)no one looks at the financial records. No one dares look at the financial records for fear of being attacked as Stephanie Burke, Bob Penta and Breanna Lungo Koehn have been relentlessly attacked, long, long, long before TV3 fixated on me
b)they create a distraction. Their targets get blamed if they fight back. TV3 then has conveniently created a scapegoat out of their many victims and, in essence, have victimized them twice. TV3 bullies, gets away with it, puts the hand dripping with victim's blood behind their back and then, uses their other hand to point the finger at the victim to lay the blame.
Doria Alberg has become a master at playing the victim when she's one of the most dangerous bullies ever manufactured at TV3. Her "oh poor me" routine as she sticks the knife in your back and twists it has worn thin. What we have witnessed is a woman who has trouble stringing a sentence together, oftentimes has put her foot in her mouth, and has thinking patterns that would give Sigmund Freud dizzy spells.
Interesting also that the woman from Malden who initiates lots of the trash talk baiting people, her favorite - but not her only target - being yours truly, applauds me for my folksy and fun writing style. http://joeviglione.com has some of the fun stuff if you want to take some books out of the Medford or Woburn library that have my scribblings and etchings. Well, haven't published the etchings yet so you'll have to stick to the scribblings. And, oh yes, I'm 8 hours late in reviewing the THOR movie, which I have in my notebook writing it during dinner last night (the embargo was until midnight last night: we can't post them until the embargo lifts per order of the film studio) so y'all can look forward to that next.
RECURRING THEME: IT IS INTERESTING
It is interesting that Ron Swanson's posts I find myself in agreement with more often than not. The Garage boondoggle is a case in point. However, rather than just couch things as Bill O'Keefe does. Mr. O'Keefe was instrumental in helping to clean up the West Medford Hillside Little League situation, we've been told, and a big THANK YOU to Attorney O'Keefe for helping out his community.
November 7th was the reported date of the "discovery" phase of the Stanley Komins and Steven Komins trial over at Somerville District Court. From what the District Attorney's office tells me the next phase is either "motions to suppress" - where the defendant's attorney attempts to keep things out of the trial (and also kicks the can down the road if the client appears guilty, to keep him or them out of the slammer as long as possible if it looks like it is going that way) and the trial itself.
The individual from TV3 also up on charges in Somerville Court has his next hearing date on November 25th, which is his last opportunity for a "motion to dismiss." This was moved from October 29, 2013 which is either the defendant's attorney kicking the can down the road or something else going on. It would seem if the defendant is innocent of the charges they would have wanted a speedy "get this over with" motion for dismissal last week. But this is just speculation.

Another curious post is from "Just a Medford Guy" who wrote a blatant attack of me, a personal attack removed by Patch, then wants to interact with my blogs. Perhaps that individual thinks I'm a masochist and now wants to be all chummy. No sir. Having watched you abuse your opportunity to be a gentleman I would prefer you just don't respond to my posts. This writer has always been upfront that comments are welcome from: a)people not involved with tv 3, b)people who use their real identities and we'll add a new one: c)people who have not been abusive to me.
It's very simple. I sent a "cease and desist" to the Malden woman and she just continues the nonsense. Shame on her. Some of you know that I am a professional writer and a record producer and you have no idea of the words I have to write per day. Since I work on the internet I will invest the time to improve my community, which those-in-the-know have witnessed and have shown appreciation for those efforts. Thank you to a city councilor for mentioning me at a political gathering as well as Jeanne Martin's comments on Patch. Also, you rarely see me reference myself as much as in these two paragraphs. It isn't about me. Just giving my perspective on the business at hand in the city of Medford.
It's a sad situation when millions of dollars of access funds are not accounted for. It's a sad situation when thousands of voters register but don't vote. It's a sad situation when thousands of individuals are afraid to speak out against TV3 for fear of what happened to Councilors Penta, Lungo-Koehn and then councilor Stephanie Burke long before the TV3 gang started shooting arrows at me. To not go back and see the history of the TV3 attacks is foolish and irresponsible. It is TV3 that had to dissolve like West Medford Hillside Little League and it is TV3 that has a member up on charges of a false bomb threat. To ignore this stuff and throw the baby out with the bathwater is convenient, expedient and just plain wrong
Swanson is correct that everyone looks bad with the "juvenile battles." But this is a serious situation. We aren't talking tens of thousands of dollars, nor are we talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars. What blows my mind is that we are talking about millions and millions of dollars and for citizens to stick their collective heads in the sand and ignore it because they don't want to be attacked as Councilors Penta, Lungo-Koehn, Caraviello, Maiocco, budget director Stephanie Burke, Mark Rumley, Jeanne Martin, Joanne Codi, Melissa Hurley, Pat Fiorello, Mary Fiorello and so many others have been besmirched, harassed and bullied.
Don't you people get it. This isn't TV3 vs. Joe Viglione. This is an entire city terrorized by the woman from Malden, her husband (and their TV special "Spotlight on City Hall" used to besmirch Dr. William Wood, the late Pat Fiorello and myself says it all) and the rest of the Frank Pilleri crowd. They betrayed the public trust and our elections in 2011 and 2013 and all those that came before these current elections were skewed in favor of the mayor and his friends.
TV3 wants you to think that I'm the problem. TV3 and the Mayor want you to ignore all the attacks on people long before I drew the line in the sand and said this must stop. And it will stop, sooner than later, as the TV3 individual in court is investigated by the authorities, and as the charges of racism against the TV station are considered by the District Attorney's office, which the weekly paper quoted a government official as saying is the place where the complaint has the possibility of moving forward.
There. My response to all the nonsense. It's your fault, dear reader, if you don't investigate the millions and millions of dollars stolen, and if you don't ask how it is possible that Mayor McGlynn keeps winning re-election. There are questions about how the ballots were counted last Tuesday night and the theory that the Mayor's opponent actually won a few of the wards, maybe more than a few wards. I was going to call the FBI in to supervise, and this is no joke because I - and other victims - have been in touch with them, but decided against it when the Candidates Night fiasco spun out of control. That was an error. The FBI should have been called in. If the city of Lawrence has a police officer watching the ballots 24/7 and Medford doesn't, when our current Administration makes Willie Lantigua look like an amateur (take your pick: River's Edge, Station Landing, TV3, the proposed garage, Medford Housing Authority, Sheriff Jimmy Dipaola's interactions with City Hall etc) well, this writer has put his best foot forward.
If the rest of the voters asked how an unpopular mayor got such a popular vote while trusting an administration that has proven it cannot be trusted, you only have yourselves to blame.
There are conspiracy theories and there is full blown corruption. Let's just say that we are way past conspiracy theory and have a city that is way further than knee deep in corruption. It is so corrupt in Medford it is coming out of Michael J. McGlynn's eyeballs. But if you people were afraid of Frank Pilleri and TV3, you are all probably terrified of the vindictive Michael J. McGlynn. That's where the problem really is. That's the real troublemaker in Medford - the dishonest Mayor who won't speak to the city council and who actually used a TV3 board member, Arthur Deluca, as a decoy to try to hurl mud at his opponent. Now that is a Halloween creepshow that Exorcist director William Friedkin would be proud of. A "reality TV show" of a George Romero Zombie movie. Just film the Mayor walking through Medford City Hall if you want the scariest horror movie of all time.
