Did he see the comments on the petition?

We're going to ram those comments to the powers that be until Belson and the frauds on the school committee are frog marched out of power.

As a parent, I have serious concerns about our school system including the lack of transparency in the creation of the recently revised safety plan. After over 20 years as superintendent, Belson has positioned this city with a financially top heavy administration and continues to recommend significant raises for its higher ups while failing to allocate funding to provide for essentials such as new text books and kindergarten aides to our elementary schools; this city needs to stop talking about change and make change happen.

Very much interested in seeing this take shape. Somerville just went through this last year and it was a very community-oriented process with many meetings. Will Medford do the same? Will the school committee step up and do it or will it have to come from the citizens like so many other initiatives in this city?

Succession planning is critical for a smooth search and leadership transition, especially given Mr. Belson's long tenure,. We need the School Committee to be proactive. As our elective representatives, they should implement a thoughtful, transparent process that prioritizes community input.

Medford has everything to offer except a great school system. I find myself considering moving based on events from this past year, mostly safety related, at my child's school. Belson never responded to any of my emails and scolded residents at a meeting when safety issues were brought up. We are such a great diverse community with so much to offer, great people, great neighborhood and local businesses. This is our opportunity to make a positive change to the school system, starting at the top. Bring someone in that will make some positive changes.

This is not about Mr. Belson to me but, rather, about the Medford School Committee doing the job it was elected to do and doing it transparently. Succession planning is a requirement and not an optional duty.
