As
a parent, I have serious concerns about our school system including the
lack of transparency in the creation of the recently revised safety
plan. After over 20 years as superintendent, Belson has positioned this
city with a financially top heavy administration and continues to
recommend significant raises for its higher ups while failing to
allocate funding to provide for essentials such as new text books and
kindergarten aides to our elementary schools; this city needs to stop
talking about change and make change happen.

Very
much interested in seeing this take shape. Somerville just went through
this last year and it was a very community-oriented process with many
meetings. Will Medford do the same? Will the school committee step up
and do it or will it have to come from the citizens like so many other
initiatives in this city?
