Police Failure to investigate Part II resulting in GROSS MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE

748,233 @ 2:53 pm

Complaints against the police for failing to investigate offences are increasing, and information published by the Independent Police Complaints Commission confirms that in the year 2014/15, of a total of 37,105 complaints against the Police in England and Wales, 34% were recorded as ‘other neglect or failure in duty.’

A policeman and a community support officer have recently been jailed, for 10 months and 4 months respectively, for failing to prevent the murder of a disabled man who was beaten to death by his neighbours after he had called the police for help on 12 occasions.

PC Kevin Duffy and PCSO Andrew Passmore were found guilty of misconduct in a public office in connection with the death of Bijan Ebrahimi in Bristol three years ago. The victim was killed and set alight by neighbours who incorrectly thought he was a paedophile, after police ignored his complaints that he was being threatened.
