CDBG ANNUAL ACTION PLAN
PUBLIC HEARING AND
30-DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
A
Virtual Public Hearing will be held by the Medford City Council on
Tuesday, May 4, 2020 via Zoom Remote Videoconferencing. Conferencing
details will be posted by the City Clerk’s Office prior to the hearing.
The purpose of this Public Hearing will be to invite the general public
and representatives of public service agencies to express comments
regarding the City’s Annual Action Plan for community development and
planning. The Action Plan contains the proposed use of Community
Development Block Grant Funds for the program year which extends from
July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.
The
Office of Community Development will be requesting that the Medford
City Council authorize Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn, official
representative of the City of Medford to submit the Annual Action Plan,
application for funds and all other assurances and certifications to the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The City is applying
for $1,546,988 in Block Grant funds.
Beginning
April 12, 2020, the Draft Annual Action Plan will be available for
review and comment and can be obtained by contacting the Office of
Community Development at 781-393-2480 or ocd@medford-ma.gov.
Written comments must be submitted no later than May 12, 2021 to Ashley
Williams, City Hall, 85 George P. Hassett Dr., Room 308, Medford, MA
02155 or awilliams@medford-ma.gov.

to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 Order Suspending Certain Provisions
of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, §18, and the Governor’s March 15,
2020 Order imposing strict limitation on the number of people that may
gather in one place, this meeting of the Medford City Council will be
conducted via remote participation to the greatest extent possible.
Specific information and the general guidelines for remote participation
by members of the public and/or parties with a right and/or requirement
to attend this meeting can be found on the City of Medford website, at http://www.medfordma.org.
For this meeting, members of the public who wish to listen or watch the
meeting may do so by accessing the meeting link contained herein. No
in-person attendance of members of the public will be permitted, but
every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately
access the proceedings in real time, via technological means. In the
event that we are unable to do so, despite best efforts, we will post on
the City of Medford or Media Community Media website an audio or video
recording, transcript, or other comprehensive record of proceedings as
soon as possible after the meeting.”
