“Nunley Benjamin welcomed her appointment in Littleton,” said Mark Rumley, the former city solicitor for Medford who was representing Nunley Benjamin in her claim.

Rumley has since forwarded her case to Sheilah McCarthy, of Lenow & McCarthy, a union-centric law firm that specializes in labor disputes.

And Littleton officials are delighted she applied for the position advertised through the Massachusetts Municipal Association. They compared her to a valuable free agent who became available for hire.
