This is part 1 of a series.
Citizens have the power, they just don't think they have that power. Citizens get bullied by court clerks, city solicitors, mayors, selectmen, aldermen, dishonest city councilors in Medford like Rick Caraviello who worked with unethical police officers to try to stomp on the very First Amendment rights their oath DEMANDS that they uphold.
District Attorney Marian Ryan can pontificate all she wants, yet I have evidence that Ryan is a very, very bad person. Thugs like Ryan infiltrate our legal system and hold themselves to the lowest of standards. They hate me. They attack a guy like me with false charges because they are terrified of the Sunlight Laws and see that I am a huge proponent of working the sunlight laws to inform citizens of the peoples' power.

This series takes pertinent parts of the Determination by the Secretary of State's office's Public Records Division and highlights key legal rules and phrases so that myself - and readers - people who, like me, are not lawyers, can navigate FOIA - the Freedom of Information Act, so that we can hold school superintendents and city solicitors to their oath of office.
Here's my formula - and you can modify it, create a new list of ingredients for quicker and more precise efficacy or simply to fit your style of writing and doing things in an organized and efficient manner.

1)Put in a Public Records Request for the oath of office of any government official you are interested in scrutinizing.
2)Look at past opinions, losses, victories - be they in court or during election cycles, of city lawyers or government officials.
For example - if investigating a Mark E. Rumley, go to court houses and see what cases Rumley has litigated - as offense or defense.
If a Rumley gets thrown off of a witness stand attempting to defend a violent stalker, it's a permanent black mark on his record. It shows poor judgment and erratic thinking.
If a Mark E. Rumley attacks a city councilor verbally, or makes faces at residents he is supposed to be fair and honest with, get photos or videos whenever possible.
These are public servants. If they want to act like little governors, throw the bad, rotting apples out of office. Ex dirty clerk Ed Finn is a prime example of a slimy individual taking too much money and violating the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
