Prosecutors say the two men went to a Stoneham home last week to rob a man they planned to buy drugs from.
That man, ( allegedly the stepson of a Medford cop, Miguel Lopez)worried something was up, had asked Joseph Puopolo Jr. to protect him.

His friend (allegedly the stepson of a Medford police officer) was wounded.
