Daniel J. Griffin, 57, of Belmont, and William W. Robertson, 58, of Westborough, are scheduled to appear in federal court in Boston later today. An indictment charging them with theft of federal funds and wire fraud was unsealed in federal court Friday morning. Federal investigators alleged Griffin and Robertson and others from the Massachusetts State Police Traffic Programs Section fraudulently collected pay for portions of overtime shifts they never worked, including when they were supposed to have been manning sobriety roadblocks and checkpoints to screen for drunken drivers.
